Privacy Policy - DinnerOrg

Effective date: 19 October 2026

Aventurier Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”) built and operates the DinnerOrg iPhone application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1) Summary

DinnerOrg helps you manage meals, dinner plans and shopping lists. This policy explains how the app handles your information.

2) Information you enter

DinnerOrg stores the information you add, including meals, ingredients, recipe links, notes, optional meal photos, dinner plans, shopping lists and preferences.

This information is saved on your device. When iCloud is available, DinnerOrg also uses Apple’s CloudKit service for syncing and cloud backups.

DinnerOrg does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

3) iCloud and household sharing

DinnerOrg uses your device’s iCloud account for cloud features. It does not require a separate DinnerOrg account.

If you create or join a shared household, participants can view and edit the household’s shared meals, ingredients, plans, shopping lists and related preferences. Only share a household with people you trust.

You can manage household sharing through DinnerOrg’s Settings. Changes or deletions to shared information may affect other participants. Leaving a household does not delete information held by its owner or other participants.

Apple processes iCloud information under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

4) Backups and retention

Automatic iCloud backups are enabled by default. You can turn them off in Settings → Data & Backups.

Backups contain a copy of your DinnerOrg information, including optional meal photos, together with the backup date and your device’s name. DinnerOrg retains the most recent 30 backups and up to 12 older weekly backups.

Turning automatic backups off stops new automatic backups. It does not delete existing backups. Deleting an item from your current meal library or shopping list does not immediately remove it from older backups.

5) Optional location access

DinnerOrg can use your location to suggest a seasonal-produce region. Location permission is optional, and you can select a region manually.

DinnerOrg determines the region on your device and does not save your raw location coordinates. Your selected region is stored as a preference and may be included in iCloud syncing and backups.

You can change location permission in your device’s Settings.

6) Optional meal photos

DinnerOrg uses Apple’s photo picker to access only the photos you select. It does not request unrestricted access to your photo library.

Selected photos become part of your meal information and may be included in household sharing, iCloud syncing and backups.

7) Optional notifications

With your permission, DinnerOrg can schedule local defrost reminders based on your dinner plans and ingredients.

You can disable reminders in DinnerOrg or change notification permission in your device’s Settings.

8) Recipe websites

When you open a recipe link, you connect to the website associated with that link. That website may process information such as your IP address, browser details and cookies under its own privacy policy.

The App Store version of DinnerOrg does not fetch supermarket specials.

9) Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete meals, photos, plans and shopping items using the app’s available controls. You can also export your meal library as CSV, disable automatic backups and manage household sharing.

Removing the app may remove its local data, but does not necessarily delete information stored in iCloud, backups or shared households. You can manage DinnerOrg’s iCloud storage through your device’s Apple Account and iCloud settings.

Other household participants may retain copies of information previously shared with them. Deleting shared information may also affect their access to it.

10) Information you send for support

If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you include in your message. We use that information to respond to your request and investigate reported problems.

Please avoid sending sensitive information, passwords or unnecessary personal details. Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed to handle the request and maintain relevant support records.

10) Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when DinnerOrg’s features or privacy practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
